August 12–14, 2026 | Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard | Dundee Hills, Oregon
Set in the heart of Oregon wine country, the Cross Pollinate Wine Retreat offers a rare opportunity for family office principals and executives to connect in a relaxed, lightly structured, and confidential environment. Held at the Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard, just over an hour south of Portland, this retreat is designed to foster real relationships, open-ended conversations, and shared perspective across generations and roles.
Unlike traditional family office conferences, this gathering encourages deeper dialogue by including not just principals, but often their partners, children, siblings, parents, or key executives. These multigenerational dynamics help shift the conversation beyond investing—to values, transitions, and long-term vision.
Event Details:
- Dates: August 12–14, 2026
- Location: The Grange at Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard (exclusive use of this property)
- Capacity: 18–20 families
- Format: No speakers, no sponsors—just meaningful conversation
- Participation: Attendees are expected to be present for the full retreat (occasional calls/emails are understandable but should be kept minimal)
- Cost: This is a no-host event. Attendees cover transportation, lodging, meals, wine tastings, and a proportional share of group coordination and venue costs. Estimated total: ~$1,500 per attendee (excluding lodging).
A $1,000 deposit is required to confirm your spot. If you find you are no longer able to attend, and we are unable to find a suitable replacement, Cross Pollinate will keep your deposit to cover shared group expenses.
The event is limited to 9-15 families with many participants bringing partners, children, parents, siblings or executives. The inclusion of partners and others shifts discussions outside of purely investment topics and builds deeper connections. We ask that anyone coming for the retreat plans to be present for its entirety. If you occasionally need to step away for a call or emails that is fine, but be mindful of the impact on the group.
